Nahal Prat (Wadi Qelt) Nature Reserve

The desert landscapes, flowing water and diverse vegetation come together to create the unique Nahal Prat oasis. The site features monasteries and archeological ruins – remnants of human inhabitance through history.
Nahal Prat features three different sites: Ein Prat, Ein Mabua and Ein Qelt

Hours: Summer – Sunday to Thursday  and Saturday, 8 AM until 5 PM                        Fridays and holiday eves: 8 AM until 4 PM
Winter – Sunday to Thursday  and Saturday, 8 AM until 4 PM
Fridays and holiday eves: 8 AM until 3 PM

Coordinate visits to the Paran monastery at 052-5399075. Modest dress required to enter the monastery.
Trails:

1. Short, circular trail that includes the monastery, spring, Tamar Pool and eastward to the Shepards' Pool
2. Long trail for expert hikers – from Ein Prat to Ein Mabua, 5-6 hours and requires pickup at the end of the trail.
