dead-sea-3-day-tour

  • (Depart only from Jerusalem)

If you only have a few days to see Israel, this is the tour for you. This three-day tour takes visitors to the most important landmarks in Jerusalem, the Judean Desert, and the Dead Sea for a genuine Israel experience.

    First Day - Wednesday
The journey begins with a tour of Jerusalem, starting at Mt. Zion, then through the Old City to the Cardo, the famous ancient and restored Sephardic synagogues, and the maze of the Kotel Tunnels beneath the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock. We'll then visit the archeological ruins at the Davidson Center and explore the Arab marketplace. The day ends with a visit to the Tower of David that spans the history of the Jewish people in Jerusalem from the first temple period. We'll spend the night in a four-star hotel in Jerusalem and get an early start the next morning to continue the journey.

    Second day -Thursday
This part of the tour explores the modern city of Jerusalem. We'll begin by watching a bar-mitzvah celebration at the Western Wall, followed by a tour of Mea Shearim, an ultra-orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem, to learn about the unique lifestyle of the community that has lived there for generations. Our next stop will be the military cemetery on Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial center and museum.
We'll then continue to Ammunition Hill and explore the trenches and museum as we learn about the Six-Day War. Then we'll head to the Knesset building, home of the Israeli parliament and see the unique hand-sculpted, symbolic menorah standing at the entrance to the building. We'll end the day with a visit to the Israel Museum, which houses some of the most ancient and valuable Jewish treasures including the Dead Sea scrolls, and then spend a second night at a four-star hotel in Jerusalem.

    Third day - Friday
On the third and final day of the tour, we'll leave Jerusalem and drive through the breathtaking landscapes of the Judean Desert towards the Dead Sea. We'll visit the Qumran Caves, where the ancient Dead Sea scrolls were found, followed by a tour of the restored ruins of the Masada fortress, palace, bathhouses and synagogue. Ride the cable car back down the mountain and stop for lunch at one of the Dead Sea spa hotels. After lunch, you'll be free to enjoy the hotel spa facilities throughout the afternoon before heading back to Jerusalem.
