Ein Gedi Race
The Ein Gedi Race is an international race at the lowest place on earth, in memory of Giora and Tomer Ron.
The 2015 race was canceled due to poor weather conditions and a risk of flash floods in the valleys and Nahal David basin. A date for the 34th annual 2016 race will be set in the coming weeks.
The Dead Sea Regional Enterprises Company and the Tamar Municipality offer various activities during the race in order to transform the race into an ultimate sporting event.
These include a preparation weekend for the spring marathons, an athletic VIP weekend, Ein Gedi half-marathon, and the race up the snake trail to the peak of Masada.
Runners are invited to visit the region for an eventful weekend beginning with the race and ending with a festive pasta dinner, entertainment and more.
Prior booking and participation fees are required.
